2014 IS F Special Edition "Dynamic Sport Tuning"

Lexus Japan launches a special edition IS F called the "Dynamic Sport Tuning" package for Japan. In addition to the the 2014 IS F updates:

• F Logo Embossed in front headrests
• Alcantara on center console & door trim
• LED Foglights
• Carbon Fiber Decklid Spoiler

The IS F DST Package is a total handling package which includes a welcome 7 horsepower and 1 lb-ft torque increase to the 2UR-GSE 5.0L V8, increased unibody rigidity from new bonding techniques at the openings, lightweight carbon fiber aero to help with high speed stability. There will be 7 available colors for IS F DST including a special 217 - Starlight Black color which will be an exclusive for this package. Four interior choices will be available including the standard Black semi-aniline leather with blue perforations, Alpine White and Black semi-aniline leather interior, Black and Red Leather/Alcantara with red perforations and Black Semi-aniline Leather/Alcantara with blue perforations.



2UR-GSE Horsepower increased to 423 HP thanks to reduced engine friction from the piston, connecting rods and crankshaft.

Starlight Black definitely has a nice look to it. I've seen it on a few other models, and it really looks fantastic.

So, In Japan, at least, there is still life in the old girl yet:thumbup: I LIKE it. Wonder why they didn't bring it here:confused:

would love those front and rear aero parts! i wonder if that exhaust system sounds different than stock. and wouldn't an upgraded exhaust yield any horses? maybe not if it's just the rear mufflers, i suppose.

It sounds close to stock but the advantage is that it's 15.5 lbs lighter than stock.

i won't go into details, but lexus is paving (and indicating) the road and showcasing quite a few things with this special edition

Now to wonder if the parts would ever be available for sale in the US, or if any dealer (*Ahem* Carson, Champion, or Sewell) would be able to acquire them?

Time for the obligatory statement: Japan gets all the cool stuff!

The CF aero/interior pieces and the power boost are especially attractive. I wish I could see the LED fogs in action.

Nice information here. I'm still waiting to see what the new alcantara interior pieces look like.
