Default iPod / iPhone streaming music

I have an 09' ISF and it doesn't have the ability to stream music from my iPod / iPhone directly through bluetooth. After some research, it seems there are a few options.

1. Blackberry bluetooth connection (~$50), connects to your audio output.

2. Lexus iPod integration kit (~$200)

3. VAIS integration kit (~$250)

4. Connect iPod directly to audio output (upgrade grounding / filter kit ~$150)

5. Connect iPod directly to audio output, leave grounding / filter alone and deal with a little static/whine.

Really would like to control my music through navi unit and steering wheel controls but also really would hate to tear the dash apart (for options 2 & 3). (I'm very capable, just hate doing it on my new car).

Which option did you choose and why?

u should look at the grom units as well...true wireless streaming and controlling it from you steering wheel.

I'd pick 1 since u don't want to tear the dash open.

+1 for option 1, streaming audio sounds good from the BlackBerry gateway. You will still have a little feedback if you haven't had the LSB done for the audio output filter.

if you didn't get it fixed there is a ground isolator device for like $5-$10 that will fix the problem...

Yup! I had mine done while it was under warranty.

OP, if you're still under warranty you may still be able to get it done for free at the dealership. The whining gets annoying after a while.

my '11 ISF streams music from my phone as soon as the Bluetooth connects. If I press BT, the music starts and I can control it from the steering wheel. It's an Android phone, don't know if that makes a difference.

u have the ability to stream because you have a 2011 lexus...i think 2010+ is able to stream music via bluetooth and control it from their steering wheel. the earlier models can't unless they have some 3rd party device or either upgraded to the 2010 navi...

u should come out to our wednesday night meets!!!
