Regarding the RS4, I like it as I am an Audi owner myself. But I would take the RS5 which suits me better as I am in the midwest.
Lexus has filed for the trademark RC-F in the US and Europe.

I would expect a product as there is no other reason for the filing.

It's the next F.

get rid of factory resonator and then it would be separated all the way down.

or get two slimmer resonators. then it is straight pipes

i think rc-f will be coupe successor of IS-F- hopefully its faster.
they are probably differentiating between coupe and sedan like bmw.
bmw having 3 series only be sedan ..no more 4 door m3.
coupe will be 4 series. 2014 model coming out at end of this year
m4 coupe to follow the following year. Lexus RC-F coupe hopefully comes out same time or slightly after that.
the horsepower wars continue..

Toyota has filed for the supra trademark a few times since the models end... 15 years later and still no supra

after researching the trademark process ( http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4801:74jt80.8.1 ) I see it takes two years from filing to registration. The trademark for IS-F was filed in 2006. If there is an RC-F on the horizon, it would likely appear about 2016

He already got rid of his resonator. I would say if he wants noise just chop the secondary cats. That's all there is left without throwing codes. There's a big diff in sound 2nd cats vs no 2nd cats.

Car companies trademark names so others cant trademark them and block them in case they get around to using it. I dont put much behind that.

Wish I took a vid when I had my welder do my work. He first chopped the mufflers, brought the car down from the lift and let me hear it...sounded mean. Then he chopped the cats.....sounded amazing. Last month I cruised with my boy Qasim with a white ISF, he has just straight pipes and it sounds good... mine sounds throatier cause I also have secondaries removed.

I know this is off topic from initial post but since you men have brought up the subject; So you guy are running straight pipes from the headers/manifold back and its not extreme as far s sund intensity? Or is it very loud and that is what you guys want? Imasking because when I had straiht pipes it was very loud.

I think VJ and Just F Me should create their own thread and they can answer your question. Not too many people here are running straight pipes.

I just had my secondary cats and mufflers chopped, with T304 stainless steel pipes welded in place. I kept the parts if i want to go back to stock later. Sounds pretty tame in D mode.....but in M mode it's loud....very loud.

Motor Trend sprints were between 4.3 and 4.6.

At 420 hp it's a beast...at 500 hp it would be a demon.

I have 9,300 miles on my 2012. The car is faster and even more fun to drive.

Count me in for the RC F or the hybrid. Performance and reliability are a must for me, so I will stick with the Lexus brand.

RC-F vs M4..tough decision when either one has come out yet. I think the new M3 will be coming sooner so it will be a good gauge of how the M4 will be. M3 will be a twin or triple turbo. My sales guy informed that the new coupe will be a V8. So, it would be an interesting battle between the two power plants in our immediate future. I prefer a V8 but..
