Driver's side headlight issue + lowered on Teins

Hey everyone,

Earlier this evening, I noticed my driver's side headlight (low beam) was off. I flipped the switch (off/on) and the low beam would come back on for a couple minutes before going back out.

I checked the fuse in the engine bay, looks okay. I opened the low beam dust cover and twisted the actual bulb off and on, harness/cable looks undamaged. No CEL's or error messages.

I'm guessing it's a faulty bulb or ballast? If so, could my non-lexus extended warranty apply to this fix? My car currently has ~76,000 miles and it increases as she's my daily driver :D
What do you guys think? I plan to take it to the lexus dealership tomorrow or whenever they can fit me in with a loaner car.

Note 1- I do have jdmtoy's led drl kit hooked up but the wires don't seem to interfere from what I can tell.
Note 2 - Lexus replaced my ML subwoofer about 7k miles ago using my non-lexus extended warranty, i just had to pay the $100 deductible. Total cost was $625 to replace the sub :eek2:
Note 3 - I just put on Tein H-tech springs on the fronts 2 weeks ago, any possible coincidence...

Here's a video for reference - bulb shuts off at 1:19

I also searched the forums and found a few similar threads:

Your bulb is toast. Same thing just happened to me.

my passenger side is doing the same as well... once you start noticing some discoloration, it usually means the bulb is at its end of its life. Just get a new D4S bulb

As others have said, the bulb has reached end of it's life.
You should replace them both if you dont want your bulbs to be different colors, the bulbs color temperature changes over time and a new one will appear more yellow than the old one.

You can pick up two Philips oem bulbs on Amazon for around $80.

OK, I feel foolish for asking, but I just removed all the plastic coverings and peaked into my passenger headlight section, but didn't see anything obvious to remove, open up, unplug, etc. I just got my garax bulbs in and wanted to replace my OEM's.... I know replacing this low beam HID bulb shouldn't be rocket science. Any help or suggestions? Space looks really limited and tight back there to even fit my hand in the available space

Thanks for the input. After further review, I wanted to test the bulbs so I pulled them out and swapped them earlier during my lunch. Looks like I have a bad bulb.

I just ordered 2 Phillips D4S bulbs from Amazon shipped overnight so I'll have them tomorrow. Total cost was $114. I wanted to replace both bulbs so the color isn't too off. Still better than the ~$175 per bulb I was quoted from my local Lexus dealership.

Thanks again :D
