Yes, I did get the parts, but they've just been sitting in my garage as I have not had time to bring it in to Lexus to have them installed. Right now I'm figuring I'll have it done in January, but it might be done before the end of the year if I get some free time around Christmas.

I'll report back my subjective feelings on the swap once it's done.

I'm assuming you got these installed by now. Was there any hiccups/fitment issues during the install?

Sorry for the delayed reply, but yes it's installed, 2013 shocks/springs/bump stops all went on the car, no issues at all. Dealership did it for me, 7 hours labor according to the book.

The car is still very firm, but it filters out all the little stuff that used to just shake me around in the seat before. Expansion joints, the normal undulations of the road, all the little noise you pick up when driving is still there, but it's very muted compared to before. It used to feel like I was being shaken all over the place constantly. Now, I'm "aware" of all the little stuff that used to shake me, but I ride comfortably.

Again, still a very firm sport suspension, but it really dialed back the noise and makes for a smooth luxury feeling ride.

Sounds awesome! I'm gonna wait until next year or 80K miles before i replace my suspension. This is the route I'm going to go.

Thanks

agree with comments made. It's still a firm ride with the 2013 kit but feels less harsh than the 08 suspension.

I did about 500 miles on my set and then swapped out for coilovers as i decided i did want to change ride height after all

So now it's sat in the garage

comparing 08 and 13 suspensions

Difference in 08 and 13 springs also note the bump stop differences

UK roads don't do well for the underside of the car!

Any questions please ask, it's a pretty simple install if you're that way inclined. Realisitcally about 4-5 hours if you do yourself with decent gear, but will probably be putting my set up soon for $600 or so on the bay so keep a look out

Alnug, which coilover kit did you install in place of the 2013 shocks & springs? And how does it's ride compare?
Thx in advance.

got the BC racing 14k front 10k rear

in terms of ride it is still firm but even more compliant that 2013 suspension...but that depends on how you set it i suppose. Been fine for over a year now and that's on UK salty awful roads!

It's coilovers for me then, eventually. Our roads on this side of the pond are terrible & they're getting worse.

Sorry for bring a thread back from the dead. Just wanted to confirm if buying the 2013 with the parts listed, will it be a straight replacement? No modifications in order to get it to work right?

I have a 2012 with a noisy rear strut. This thread is very informative for people that want to replace stock for stock.

Does anyone know what struts would be an "upgrade" to the 2012 struts? I may do swift springs on struts.

My left shock is blown and after reading this thread, I'm inclined to go with the 2012 or 2013 stock suspension in the next couple weeks, whichever parts year available. Please share any last tips if you might have.

Cheers!!!!
