Smile It's Time To Make The Doughnuts....(PIC)

My 2010 IS-F Diff showed up today...thing looks brand new!!!

Thanks to member "Compthis" for giving me a heads up of the location of the diff!

Cost was ~$1100.00 delivered to my door.

The Diff looks brand new! Seals looks perfect, etc...going to be fun having "real" LSD for going around corners..

"Compthis" let me know it was from a couple of IS-F's that were involved in an accident while they were delivered to the dealership....so they basically have no mileage on them.

Are they selling any of the other parts? Not sure I am ready for the Diff, but there are some other things I would like to replace. PM me if you hear anything. Thanks

Sadly, there were only two diffs and "Compthis" and myself were the only ones to buy them

The wrecking yard is:

http://www.standardautowreckers.com/

Look for more parts from:

http://www.car-part.com/

Search for the word "carrier", not "differential"

Dammm, I'm jealous. I found that diff. about a month ago and I have had my eye on it. I was on vacation out of the country and wanted to see how much money I spent before I ordered it. I went to order it yesterday morning and it was gone!!
Well, you snooze you loose. That thing looks great, enjoy!!

$3,000 dollars shipped! lol First bidder gets it! (just joking)

I will have my 08 diff with ~35k for sale probably...it will be cheap for sure..shipping will be a pain. The Diff probably weighs around 70lbs?

Best price??? LOL I paid $735 for mine. I was actually thinking of picking the second one as I know it's in demand, I decided to let another member grab it.

I'm glad you grabbed it, you will enjoy it. It's incredible, wait till you drain the oil out(if they haven't yet) and see how clear the fluid is. I'm happy I was able to help.

Hi

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a small issue (hope not) Can I ask if anyone with a 2011 ISF with the proper Limited Slip Diff like the above makes a grindy noise and feels chittery/chattery when pulling away slowly on almost/full left or right lock of the steering wheel? You also feel the back end jittering.

I ask because i recently had a 40k service and according to the service sheet the diff oil was replaced, and i don't remember this noise before?

Perhaps I'm mistaken and its completely normal?

thanks
John

Had the same problem when I had my fluid replaced. The dealership replaced it with the LT diff fluid which is for non LSD like the IS350. Told them it was making noise at slow speeds and that the 11+ calls for the LX. Replaced again at no charge. No more noise since 10k miles. The LX fluid may have some type of additive to reduce the noise? Not sure.

I kind of get that only if the ground isn't level but that's just the lsd working. I'd check your service receipt and see which fluid they gave you!
