Default HKS Midpipe?

Do we know any horsepower improvements from just the HKS midpipe? Also, where can I get the HKS midpipe?

It removes 2 cats, right? There will be some gains there for sure.

I thought I read somewhere that the HKS midpipe could be purchased for under $1000.

You can. google HKS P/N 33004-BT001

Not sure if there is anything in stock in US though. Let me know what you find. I just ordered the full catback exhaust system last week.

I found one on auto tuning store for $877. This sounds mighty tempting. I guess you still need the oxygen sensor removing tool to install just the midpipe. Is that prolly the most difficult part of the install? (I'm wondering if I could do it by myself with two jack stands and a floor jack.)

IS350atWOT - You can DIY but I personally had a lot of trouble with my O2 sensors. With just jack stands I had loads of trouble getting enough leverage to loosen the sensors. I loosened them with spray lube and thought I had a great angle but I couldn't budge one of them at all and had to go to a shop (you really don't want to damage them). For the $75 it then cost me to have the full cat-back installed, I wouldn't have bothered trying it myself and would have saved a couple hours. But this was on an 08 w/ 60k miles with those never have been touched before. With a '10 you shouldn't have such issues.

I think I might ask the dealer how much they'll do it for the next time I'm in. That sounds like quite a chore.

I like the idea of this HKS mid-pipe over a full cat-back like Borla basically because I've had HKS before on my previous IS-350. I really liked the quality and sound.
