Default interior heats up?

Hey members, I've noticed after I drive my car for a good 30 minutes, the interior of my car starts to heat up like crazy. It starts to heat up near my leg, what seems like all the heat is coming from the tranny.. I'm not driving in abnormal conditions, or even pushing the car hard, but I was wondering if its just the 8 speed changing gears so often that it starts to heat up. & also I noticed my tranny tends to jerk when shifting gears when the cars cold. I believe somethings wrong with my axle shaft but no clue until I take it in for the oil change which is soon. LOL anyways my car is a 2010 with only 14500 miles on it. am i just being paranoid?

I haven't felt the interior heat up as you described. However, I have noticed that the trunk area next to the rear seats heat up. I think this maybe the exhaust. The heatshield might not be sufficient.

I think when your car being fixed for the accident, the shop might misplace something or something is leak ? that is y have heat in your cabin without the heat seats turn on. I dont think its a Joez exhaust :P , or after market header :P

I've experienced this too... the heated seats are not on... but the hump area around the shifter on both the driver and passenger side is warm. This is after about an hour of driving... spirited driving Assumed it was the tranny?

Have you tried turning your climate control all the way down before turning it off?
I know that mine spits out a significant amount of heat, even when turned off, if the last temperature setting was high.

Accident?

Man with the amount of wiring and electronics in these cars I would not be surprised if that's the issue

Well...I drove my car for about an hour on the freeway and my car exhibits the exact same scenario. I touched the carpeted area under the dash right by my right leg and it was pretty warm. It was also warm on the passenger side as well. This must be the heat radiating from the engine and transmission. The A/C and heated seats were not on.

My car is completely stock.
