Default Voltphreaks Lithium Battery Install part of the F diet :)

So i had my 3 month old Lithium battery from my GTR that i have sold and decided to install it into the F. The battery model is VPH900 and weight is 7lbs. Stock battery with all hardware was 43lbs. I have saved 36lbs. I also emptied out the trunk from spare, jack and various tools for another 40lbs or so. The lexus now sits 76lbs slimmer and let me tell you you can feel the difference!

I used the spare tire holder/bolt along with 1.5" styrofoam to help support the funk floor so it would not dip. Just screwed in the bolt and velcro'd the styrofoam square piece of 5x5". Works perfect!

Here is the pic of the battery install.

The unfortunate thing is this makes the cross weights even worse. The car is biased to the driver's side with the stock battery. Removing weight from the passenger's side means the driver's side just picked up a few more pounds on the left front tire.

We really need to figure out a total strategy to lose weight AND fix the l/r balance problem from the factory.

And yeah, the battery is super light and super expensive compared to the conventional options.

For those who would like a more affordable lightweight battery option may want to look into Deka Batteries. Braille batteries are literally relabled Deka batteries...no lie! I currently have a Deka ETX20XL battery in my Supra TT which is only $70 and weighs 15lbs!

As for the op I'd hate not having my spare in the car, way to many chances for bad things. Props on the weight savings but there are to many -'s for me
