Interesting......Sounds like a common issue, but I have no idea if it's a big deal or not??

I am begining to think too many of us have over filled oil at one point or another...

My motor takes just a little over 9 qts now.. No where near 9.5 or 10

I now start with 9 qts and just add in a few ounces to the second dot..

Those two rear plug seals seem to allow oil to sweat into the plug chamber and drip down onto the plug threads over the course of a long period of time..

I haven't pulled the rear plugs yet.. But i am curious to see if the problem is still there after paying a lot more attention on how much oil goes in during each interval..

I'd be interested in what you find out? Are you going to do this soon?

i always do my oil change after letting the car run for a few mins and letting oil warm up. i do the same , put 9 quarts in but with a filter change and adding small increments, im always over the 9.5 quart mark with a full oil and filter change and checking the dip stick .

Have you checked your oil level on a full cold motor ??
