Default Sunroof closing problem

Just need some advice here i don't know if anyone experienced this. I searched and nothing came up so here it is,

At random times already happened twice, when i try to close my sunroof it doesn't close all the way. Right when its about to close it just opens back up. Obviously when i try to take it to the dealer it works fine. I was able to capture a video on my phone explaining and showing whats happening, but before i just take it in and show them the video any insight?

anyone know what it can be?

It sounds like it might be stopping when it sense the pressure from the wind deflector.
Something for you to look into.

Its not the pressure since i was parked and trying to close it. I even checked if something was blocking it but nope.

Unfortunately, it sounds like a bad batch of motors made it into production--$1,000 bucks from Lexus should fix it.

I had this problem before too...I open my sunroof almost everytime i get in the car. I had mine fixed under warranty, they replaced the motor. It's happened only twice since...I have to remember not to open it when it's really cloudy outside...then again, I live in So Cali, it doesn't rain here.

Had this occur 3 or 4 times over the last 3 years. May be coincedence but when it happens it appears that there is grease build up on the guides at the wind deflector, when I remove some of the grease out of the end of the guide the roof closes. Again could just be coincidence that he roof closes after 4 or 5 attempts.

So it seems like it might be a common problem.. but no one really attempted to go after it since it fixed it self.. but i seriously don't want my sunroof stuck open when it rains.

I have this problem too. My remedy to close the dang thing was to move the **** through each position until finally at the close position. Otherwise if I put it straight to close from any open position, it will open back up again.

The other thing I do is get a buddy, and while the sunroof is in the process of closing, forcefully push it in
