SOCAL IS F Cruise - Driving PCH to Point Mugu
CURRENT SIGN UP LIST
Cruise Date: SUNDAY, May 6th
Time: 9:00am for OC group, 10:30ish for LA group
Cruise / Canyon Run Map: MAP UPDATED 4.30.12 ROUGHLY 60 MILES OF CANYON!
I've never driven through the canyons here so please if you have any recommendations...suggest them!
Tentative Itinerary:
1) Those who can, meet in OC at Super Auto Toyz @ 9:00am...WE WILL BE LEAVING by 9:30am
2) Cruise up to LA to meet with possible LA group at 710 Broadway Street, Santa Monica, CA. We should be there by @ 10:30am and leave by 11:00am.
3) Start our drive west on PCH to the first 25 miles of canyon roads at Las Flores Canyon Road and end at 23841 Malibu Rd. Malibu CA
4) Leave the shopping center to start the second 38 mile leg of the canyon run and go back on PCH and head West through Latigo Canyon Rd and then head to "the rock"
5) Chill out, take some photos, and head out to Neptunes Net off PCH for lunch, then head back home through PCH.

The last SOCAL IS F meet was fun...really fun. It was a small group of us, but I think we all had a great time going through Oretga Highway....
I watched something on Autoblog.com called THE LIST, it's a list of 1001 things every car enthusiast should do and one of the things was about driving PCH...I've driven it a couple times...but never in my IS F.
I was thinking what we can do is meet in Santa Monica or somewhere else...have brunch/lunch, drive through the canyons, then stop at Point Mugu and see the famous rock....then drive home on PCH
Thoughts anyone?

I'm in but should do it on a Sunday and everyone should come to super car Sundays in woodland hills then we can catch mullholand to the rock store taking Piuma canyon..... Tons of great canyons there and it will dump us on pch where we can grab lunch at neptunes net.....
Super car Sunday's is great lots of awesome cars show up from lambs to old school cars.... It would be awesome to show up with a group of Fs!

That would be located in Woodland Hills in the Promenade Mall.
Usually they meet around 8:30AM every Sunday, the BIG show is usually the last Sunday of every month. That's when all groups make an appearance...including Jay Leno

Yea they actually start rolling in at 7am. I go quite a bit and yes last Sunday of the month is the best show .... You will see some very exotic cars including bugattis and porsche carrera gt...

err...that might be too early for everyone...LOL. A couple people complained last time that 9am was too early to meet up. And if Gene is going, he's coming from San Diego! Maybe we'll skip the car show but still take the same roads?

yea or if anyone wants to go to the car show they can show up early.... then we can wait for the others to roll in and from there we can cruise the canyons which are great for the F and drop down into PCH cruise out and grab lunch at neptunes net....

Maybe if we meet in Woodland Hills at 10am and leave around 11...drive through the Canyons, hit up Point Mugu for some photos, then on the way back hit up Neptunes Net for lunch around 1:30ish....then we can just drive back on PCH later and head out from there.
If anyone can bring a friend, that would be cool too...that way we can get lots of photos from lots of different views
