Do you have a one off like a Motec chip or are you using a piggyback like Dastek or HKS

MRxSLAYx Mar 13, 2012 05:39 PM

What kit did you put on?

Don't mean to thread jack here but is there anyway to run the engine off of a different computer so it could actually be tuned. I know nothing about chipping cars or piggybacking them. So any information would really help. Thanks

Op how dare you say you have a tt set up and not tell us more about it.....you didnt even post pics :( :)

definitely post pictures and advise which kit you went with or if was custom made. It would be neat if there is another option for a different ECU/piggyback system availabe however many people have mentioned how difficult it would be to run the injectors/pumps and all the other technology without running into any problems on this car.

If I am not mistaken on a thread I read on here that E. Kanoo ISF from YouTube vid running the nitrous kit is running a HKS piggyback on the an ECU (JDM if im not mistaken). Or something along those lines. I resorted to just being interested in I/H/E for the ISF and buying a different side project car to modify and have fun with.

You are in NY with a TT ISF and you aren't in NEISF? Join up! https://www.clublexus.com/forums/nel...sf-thread.html

And post pics!

if theres a way to fool the maf sensor at higher rpms to make it run alittle leaner would be a great help. i actually emailed icode them selves apparently the jdm ecu and the piggy back they make does not work in domestic cars...

You're in NY? What shop did this work? Would be really intertested in seeing this car at meets this year!! Welcome!

demosTT Mar 14, 2012 10:14 AM

I actually did all the work myself, sure I wouldn't mind doing meets and car shows.

^ Nice. Any recent pics of the set up? Dyno sheets(like to see the hp and afr #s)?

MRxSLAYx Mar 14, 2012 10:51 AM

There is a strong possibility that your MAF is not the reason your running rich up top. If your running methanol, i would say tuning on that end is the issue.

demosTT Mar 15, 2012 07:16 AM

has anyone tried the icode ffm on a us car?? full engine management plug and play for about $5000. i have not dynoed the vehicle yet but am working on getting it to the shop to dyno. Slay i unplugged the methanol and under full boost car runs alot better afr does not drop down to 10 stays at the 11's. i also noticed here in ny if its about to rain and the weather gets wet it also affects the car first 5 mins of driving. i have alot more pics to post.
