Default Can i get AFS to work with 2013 light on my 2008 ISF?

I recently bought my ISF with the factory 2013-14 lights installed. I assume it was done at Sewell in Dallas as it had their name on the back and the silver carbon race steering wheel. My previous Is 250 and IS 350 had the Adaptive lights and I loved it. This car has the ability, as do the lights, but how do I get it to work? Thanks for any help on this.

I believe a member here has tried to take the AFS motor from the older headlights and retrofit them into the newer LED headlights, but from what I've been reading, it will involve a few more wires and the wiring diagram is a bit different, too. I was hoping there would be a DIY for something like this, as I too liked the AFS function at night.

Thanks Brian. The low beams are way low at present. I was hoping for an overall fix to get the AFS working, but it looks like I'll have to do the rear wheel sensor adjustment for now.

You could also trade your 2013 headlights for an earlier set off a 2008 car, and get some extra cash on top to spend on other modifications??

Just a thought!

I will stick with my 2008 with the AFS, and just have them reworked at some point to add some personal touches!

If this were a big deal to me, this is what I would do too. Unfortunately I am now spoiled with the GS F's LED lights. They make everything else look dull and dim, even HIDs. Retrofitting OEM LEDs would be my project if I really wanted to make a substantive change.

idk if that will work because the the later cars with the LED headlights didn't have AFS. honestly on my old IS350 when I did the 2013 headlight upgrade I didn't even miss the AFS. I almost feel like the LED headlight had better light output too

Mine is silver. As for the lights, I thought the 2013 and 2014 had AFS? My current low beam reach is dangerously short. Especially for a car that wants to be driven hard. The good news is I passed Virginia state inspection today. They must not have looked too hard at the lights aim.

Only 08-10 has AFS. If you have the LED DRL's then you're not afs equipped. If they're aimed too low at the moment you can just adjust them using a screw driver; you'll find instructions in your owners manual I had mine replaced under warranty and the tech forgot to aim them so I had about a 10' range. Ha.
