Anyone applied this film here? Talked to my local detailed n they said isf only has half hood film available as the hood buldge shape is not possible to apply to the whole hood? so u will see a cut line. Is it easily noticeable?

Full hood is possible with some films, including Xpel Premium and the new Xpel Ultimate.

To OP: Yes, the line is noticeable. I don't know why they can't do the whole hood. I've seen it done.

Is the hood and fenders really necessary? I wanted to clear-bra my hood and fenders as well, but then I retracted. Since my F did not have clear-bra from the start, I thought I needed to access the hood and fenders to do routine paint care on them. So I opted just to clear-bra my front bumper only since it was freshly repainted.

So again, do folks get a lot of road damage to the hood and fenders to warrant a clear-bra on them?

If you look at most IS-F that are daily driven you will find that they are **** to getting chips on hood and fenders, this weekend I took road trip with three other F and they all had several chips on each of there hoods of varying size and degree.

Default protective film

I bought my 2008 USB ISF with a full "clear bra" on it. I never really liked it. Call me old fashioned, but I like to put a good coat of wax on my car and keep it polished to perfection. Recently, when some moron backed into my car, the left front fender needed to be replaced. I told the body shop to take the clear bra off the hood and fenders. After the paint cured, I put a good coat of wax on it and am much happier without the film. To each his own, I guess.........

The hood is easy to wrap and you dont need a kit for it. I take bulk 60" film and wrap the edges... so there would be no seem lines. The bulge in the hood wont cause any issues with the install.
