Default Lexus IS-F / Mojave Mile / 0-163.3 MPH

One of my runs at Mojave Mile over the weekend...all stock IS-F with a Borla cat-back and 100 octane race fuel. One mile standing start...0-163.3 mph.

Awesome run! How'd it feel at that speed? What camera did you use to record it?

They didn't do it this year but they also have a mile race not to far from my city.

ps that muisic kinda sounded like some 80's porno bout to go down!

The car actually feels amazing at that speed. There was absolutely zero shake - and quite honestly didn't feel much different than 100mph. It never felt unstable at any point, even when hitting some of the undulating pavement on the runway. I was totally surprised the car performed as well as it did, but was more surprised by the other cars it outperformed (ie. Audi R8). I'll post the results once they have them up on the Mojave Mile site. You guys will be shocked by the list of cars below 163mph.

The camera is a GoPro Hero HD. I'm not a fan of advertisement on forums...but that camera is ridiculous!!

LOL...you may be right about the **** music. Subliminally I may have been saying those runs were better than sex?

Excellent stuff...can't wait to see your list of other cars it outperformed.

Are you running on the stock 08' suspension?

Yeah...stock suspension. The car is completely stock with the exception of the Borla cat-back exhaust.

Very nice! That is impressive. I was at that event last year and there were quite a few cars that in theory should be able to go as fast as you did or faster that weren't able to.

Yeah...beating the Audi R8, all the Shelby GT 500's and most of the Corvettes (the ZR1's were a little out of my reach) was way more than I ever expected. On my last run of the day I stayed in it past the finish and shifted into 7th gear to see if it would still pull. 7th gear pulls just as hard...the car just doesn't know any better. I would be lying if I said what my 7th gear speed was...I just know it was fast!

My buddy ran his 2010 GT-R...he pulled off a 180mph run. Next year they're doing a mile and half!! We'll be at that one for sure!

Very nice! I would LOVE to run a mile flat out and see how my car does, but I have yet to find a place in the northeast that holds such an event. Anyway...

PS.. How do you like the Borla exhaust? I just installed it a few weeks ago and I really like that it's not a "droner".

JP... nice Post! Guys... that's my old F! JP did them proud... schooling just about everything out there with 4 seats... not to mention most with only 2! It was REALLY impressive! Getting above the 160 Mark is VERY difficult so it seems... but not for the F!

Good Times!

I am in love with the Borla! It sounds mean and deep when you're mashing it...yet its completely mellow and respectful when putting around town or pulling into your garage at 1 o'clock in the morning.

Aside from the phenomenal sound...the performance is where the Borla gets my full respect. The Borla is the one critical component missing from a stock IS-F, which unleashes the car's real potential and the animal which is the IS-F.
