No. It compares oxygen content in the ambient air and the burned mixture in a way you can't easily trick.

When I track my cars I run 100 octane 'unleaded' just to keep them from detonating, after repeated 'lap after lap' full throttle runs. I'm not sure it helped performance, but I know it's more consistent in the heat we run out here out west. Cheaper may be to run half and half.. for closer to 95 octane... as I'm sure much over 93 octane is overkill... but in AZ & CA we have CRAP 91 octane.
