Default Stock exhaust transportation

Has anyone tried putting the stock exhaust INSIDE their car to take it home after an aftermarket install? Will it fit?

How about those of you that sold your stock exhaust and shipped it? Where did you find a box that was long enough for the straight section and another box that was big enough for the tail section?

Great question. Also wondering if any of the after market exhausts will fit in the trunk and ski hole.

Can't speak for other manufacturers, but I'm pretty sure the joe-z could be transported. It breaks down into manageable sections.

The rear section does not fit in the IS-F, the front one might fit if the passenger seat is folded

I was barely able to get the two pieces of the stock exhaust in my wife's Cayenne. No way that thing is fitting in the F....

Cut the long section and sleeve it back together if it's needed again.

Yes, the stock will fit. I remember someone putting up a picture of it. Search the threads.

The Joe Z fit inside my car. But I don't see how the stock exhaust could fit in the car. Had to use my Uncles Yukon to get the stock exhaust. And then it barely fit with all the seats folded flat.

^^^ LOL!

I don't think the stock exhaust will fit, but the Joe Z will.

^^^ It was a different picture and the stock exhaust was inside the F. It was an Obsidian F. I remember the owner saying that it had to be in the perfect spot to fit inside the F. I vaguely remember that it stretched from the passenger seat and into the arm rest/trunk access at the rear seats.

This is one reason that our third vehicle is a truck. Put an exhaust system in my F, not on your life; a big for me. I bought my first truck in the 80s, and I had no intention of getting a truck. At the time I owned a Porsche 944. I was at a grocery store buying six bags of salt for my water softener. Some guy walked behind me while I was loading into the back (hatch). He chuckled and said, "oh, that's a nice Porsche truck." I laughed back, but within a week, I had my first truck, a little Nissan Hardbody. I have never carried cargo in any of my cars since then.

Not worth cutting the leather, denting or scratching the paint putting it in. Borrow someones car or go rent a pick up truck for an hour from Home Depot.
