Ugh. The new rims are ok ..... certainly better than 10' and 11', but not nearly as nice as 08' and 09'. They look like a honda rightoff .... no, don't like them.

Don't like the new rims ... the 11 were the best ... gotten so many compliments on them and they look unique .

It would be awesome if they went back to the 08-09 style wheel, but with the 8.5"/9.5" widths.

The new wheels are hot! I doubt Lexus would reuse the 08-09 wheels, that would be a "step back" in design thinking. The wheels will probably be a new, but familiar, 10 spoke design. I also don't see how Europe and Australia would be getting suspension updates and not North America.

Came across some add'l updates on pricing (link below) - ISF increase $640 for MY12. Can't wait to see the wheels for US.

Agree with this. The '10/'11 wheels do not photograph well at all (except in certain official Lexus literature) and many have formed opinions about them based upon pics posted on the internet. Even before I took delivery of my car, I was prepared not to like them so much. In person, though, it's a different thing.

I really like the looks of the '08/'09 wheels but, in person, the '10/'11 wheels give them a run for their money, although one cannot go wrong with either, IMO.

hmm, I really like these wheels. Do we know if these wheels have a more aggressive fitment than the 08 wheels?

^^^^Joe - From the verbiage of the PR, it appears that the US spec "F" will not get the new 14 spoke wheels The PR talks about a 10 spoke asymmetrical design like the '08, '09 wheel. They are .5" wider which is a good, no great thing.

The IS F features an all-new 19-inch forged-alloy wheels by BBS® with a distinct dark-gray finish and an asymmetrical 10-spoke design. The front wheels are 19 x 8.5J, with 225/40R19 tires and 19 x 9.5J in the rear, with 265/35R19 tires
I hope we get the new wheel, but my feeling is we won't.

"The IS F high-performance sport sedan receives a newly designed 19-inch forged alloy wheel, wider rear tire sand Sachs shock absorbers for enhanced handling. The IS F will also sport an all-new Red leather trim that replaces the two-toned Orange/Black seating."

Looks like the orange interior is going to be a rare option on a rare car.

Yes Lou, I read the wording back on 8/16/11...

These types of documents have been known to have cut & paste errors through the past years..

Don't believe everything you read on the internet.. LoL

Back in 2009 & 2010, the Lexus PR docs mentioned "New 19-Inch Wheel Design" for the 2010 & 2011, with more typos..

2010 IS-F Pressroom Doc
  • Contributing to both design and performance, new 19-inch forged-alloy wheels produced by BBS® feature a distinct dark-gray finish and an asymmetrical 10-spoke design.

2011 IS-F Pressroom Doc
  • The IS F features 19-inch forged-alloy wheels by BBS® with a distinct dark-gray finish and an asymmetrical 10-spoke design. The front wheels are 19 x 8J, with 225/40R19 tires and 19 x 9J in the rear, with 255/35R19 tires.

^^ Which we know thats not what the 2010 & 2011 have..

I seriously doubt the 2012 would get the same style 08' wheel but wider.
That would be plain silly.

I guess will see them in a few weeks..
But from the pic listed on the USA Pressroom & on Lexus Jp.com, it shouldn't be a surprise at all.
