Miss my IS-F
I traded my 2008 Obsidian Neiman Marcus Edition IS-F last month for a 2011 IS 350C. I wanted to get a 2011 IS-F but the wife did not appreciate the firm ride of the IS-F. As the saying goes, "Happy wife = Happy life." Thus, no more V8 growl as I hit the gas. Sigh....
If you're interested in checking it out, it's listed with pix at Santa Monica Lexus for $45,888.

Lexus Test Driver
Maybe its just me but I am always surprised to see threads and comments about wives dictating what car you drive. Let them pick whatever car they want for themselves and don't worry about what you drive!
Sorry to hear of your loss. I would miss mine too. Luckily for me my wife loves the ISF. If we could afford it her dream car would be a burnt orange Lotus Elise.
but for now she drives a Volvo sport wagen with a set of Bilstein HDs on it. Makes for a nice ride.

My girl loves my F! If I switched over the IS350C I'd surely feel incomplete from the reduction of HP. My girl loved my F more after I installed the Joe Z exhaust too! I guess I'm just lucky! Congrats on the new car though, as long as you stay in the Lexus family!

It's hard not to have a gf or a wife have some input in the car she's clearly going to be driven in. Some girls like it, while others don't. Mine doesn't care, although she does wish I didn't care as deeply for my F as I do. It's just the upkeep of Obsidian.
But sad to see you give up the NM build. Not much different from the others, but those rims are just right!

why dont you bring your wife to events like autox or precision lexus where you can toss around isf,is350,gs350?
my wife hated firm rides but after attending 2 events of those, and 1-year of my lesson (gotta keep tell her the good stuff ^^), she now prefers firm rides.
nowadays she drives like ...ehhh....she nails every corner = less thread life on tires...

Mmmmm, I not sure that a little giggle should be enough to turn the wife off but I am sorry to here giggle in your house hold is not allowed LOL
I am sure the 350 is a nice car bad bad luck on no ISF.
My GF may as well be wife always wants a quick car as the work car. The main problem I have is she wont part with her loved mini Cooper S. Great car but I want something more i.e. Z4M, Boxster S, Elfin, Exige etc etc.
Google luck on convincing your wife that a little giggle every now and then is a good thing!
