So I did some searching around the forums to see if anyone else had the same issue with their AC as me. The other day I got in the car and the front defrost light was blinking orange then went away so figured no problem since it hasn't come on again.

Today I am driving the car and I notice when I turn on the AC and or regular air it only seems to blow out the side dashboard vents and the up front windshield vents. Now with my other IS 350 the air would come out the main vents and the side dashboard so is this something normal or do I need to investigate further?

Any input would be great

If you're under warranty, take it to the dealer. You should never see the orange light unless you've turned the defroster on.

 

Took it to the dealer since the front windshield defrost light was blinking again.

 

The dealership still cant figure out what is going on. They put a new regulator in thinking it would fix the problem but they cant seem to figure it out.

 

Call up Lexus National HQ and let them know about it. They should be able to help you more on it and possibly send out a special master mechanic to figure it out.

 

This just started happening to my 2008 IS350. I start the car and it blinks orange with no air coming out. Then it stops blinking and the AC starts working. I also notice a weird readout of 32.0 degrees in the NAV screen momentarily. I'm out of warranty Anybody else out there this problem besides Katin2 and I???
