Default ISF HID Fog light install - Question

I'm apparently not quite as mechanically inclined as I thought I was. I'm attempting to upgrade the stock fog with some HID's from HIDExtra and am stuck on how to disassemble or remove the necessary portion of the stock light. This is my view going through the underside of the front (driver's side) bumper. Is this even best access point? Any help with a next step would be GREATLY appreciated.

hahahaf - Thank you. It worked like a charm. But now.... where in the heck do I put that ballast? The double sided adhesive pad doesn't hold the weight of the ballast so that stuff doesn't appear to be the solution. I've got zip ties, but they won't fit around the ballast to secure it to anything. Any insights?

Thanks again

I'm assuming the bumper is still attached to the car? I took mine off and install was a piece of cake. Double sided taped and zip tied the ballast to the back of the metal crash bar. There are even some holes to slip the zip ties through. Bumper comes off with a handful of screws and clips. If you think you may go this route, I believe there is a write-up explaining how to remove the stock bumper on here. Good luck.

I gave it another shot w/o removing the bumper and I think it paid off. I won't go into details, but I used four zip ties to secure it and I don't think it's going anywhere. Thanks for the help.... still have to take care of the passenger side later.

I just cleaned an area and stuck the ballast
and i assume everything is still great
i didnt zip tie at all
maybe I should of, but its so easy to access if anything occurs, no need to take off the bumper
the plastic underneath is flimsy and easy to get a hand in

I got the 6k lights. They picture really is showing more blue than it shows in person. It's just slightly more blue that the factory low beam.

I have to be honest though, I'd just settle for a set that works right out of the box regardless of the bulb color. I just got finished putting my OEM halogen bulb back into the passenger side housing because the second ballast/bulb combo didn't function. And the driver's side only lights up most of the time. Not exactly the simple "plug and play" I was expecting when I purchased. Looks like I'll be purchasing a wiring relay harness in the near future or getting a refund.

I know I'm resurecting a thread from the dead, but I was wondering what K I would need to pickup if I wanted to match my fogs with the stock HID headlights on a 2011 ISF?

when i first purcahse 5k hid fog for my car in hope to somewhat match the hedlight but 5k was too blue. then i when and purchased a set of 4300k which is suppose to be the stock temp but its still a little more blue. i might just go get a D4S 5k just to even the color up to the fog.

I had the same problem. I heard if you do a retrofit for the projector it will be a better match.
