painting headlight housings is super easy. i've done it on at least 10 different models of cars. just have to make sure they reseal properly. i've been doing it since 2003. people are just scared to put them in the oven

S4, any pics of that car farther away?
Sorry no other pictures....

Not all headlights are the same for those who have not tried....for example s2000 headlights on a scale of 1-10 I would say a 4 but the IS-F headlights definitely a 8.

Once open anyone can paint them but opening and sealing are the tricky parts of the project.

That also includes removing/re-installing the lights on the car right? I've been meaning to get this done for awhile now... but I already have clear bra on my headlights so I can't have it baked.

Is it possible to do it without "baking" it?

I think your clear bra on the headlights can be removed correct? I have seen people do it with just a heat gun.

Why do you think that it can't be baked? The headlight goes in a preheated 250*F oven for a few minutes. It's not all that hot. Just enough to soften the adhesive.

No way to PAINT the headlights without baking. But like others have said it might not effect the clear bra because it's only for a few minutes. Anyway, even If it does...aerotect probably doesnt charge more then 50 bucks to have them done?

...You NEED to do this prime! Your F is screaming for it!

Actually, I THINK you're in luck. I believe tommy uses a heat gun and focus's the heat on the seal only. Give him a call and ask! I was just at his shop on Saturday when I asked how much, so to secure the price, tell him I told you or that you're from CL.
