In my 350 my tank average is always .1 mpg below what I actually get. So I'd say its pretty accurate

Fact: The C7 has both cylinder deactivation and stop-start.

Ok but that doesn't mean it gets over 30mpg. What is start stop? And I know they have cylinder deactivation but if it is on 4cyl mode on the freeway cruising anywheres from 60-80 the faster you go after 55-65 your gas mileage will decrease. Plus a 4cyl has to work harder to move the car. Meaning higher rpm which is less fuel economy. But I guess if it had an 8 speed auto....

I know my IS300 has a 17.5 the ISF I believe is 16.9 and my Rav4 is 15.9 I'm pretty sure. Owners manual on the Rav says the fuel light comes on with 3 gallons left to my knowledge It's been a long time since reading the Rav4 manual but I know the IS300 is 17.5 I can't recall how big my GS400's tank was. I am going to drive a little slower ughh on my way back to ND from Milwaukee 65 on my first fill up with nonethanol fuel and see where it sits. For some reason I always fuel mileage my vehicles when filling up. People on the Rav4 site deleted my post because I started arguing with a guy that right off the bat said I need ti keep my right foot out of the gas. Lol I said the 2.4 isn't for flooring the ISF is. He didn't have much to say about that.

All years of the IS F are 16.9 gallons. My light comes on with 14.2 needed to fill consistently.

That is about right in line with the 3 gallon mark with tje Rav4 and hell I drove the IS300 for so long I guess I never knew when it came on. I don't think the manual said. Good heads up. Be on the lookout as I am going to try and fight a west wind with nonethanol at 65???

Show me that same number with 475 miles on the odometer and I'll be a believer. I once went 60 miles from Lincoln, NE to Council Bluffs, IA in my Supra on only a gallon of gas. I have no idea why or how except there was a very strong tailwind the whole way.

Sweet. But how does that show 37.7mpg?

He drove it on a fwy for 67.1 miles in optimal mpg conditions, right after filling up.

Yup. Steady 60-64mph. That journey was about 150miles in total. Average dropped down to 36 with a bit of traffic by the end. Ideal conditions though, just to show what's possible!

U.K. Gallons, so slightly bigger, 99RON fuel, and one of the most boring drives I've ever had, haha!

FWIW, there are 1.2 US gallons to 1 UK gallon, so you would need to subtract 20% off the top to equate to what we in the US see on our displays. If this were a US model, it would show 30.2 mpg. Still impressive, but not quite the "how did he do that?" mileage that 37.7 mpg is.
