2011 OEM shocks into 2008 IS-F?
Anyone know if the 2011 IS-F shocks are a direct swap into 2008/09 IS-F? I have a feeling the stock 2008 springs are pretty stiff but the shocks were too soft for them thus causing the poor bouncy ride inherient in the 2008-10 models. I suspect that the new 2011 shocks are revalved and a bit more stiffer to compliment the stiffer springs of the IS-F, thus actually resulting in a nicer ride. It would also be nice to know the rating on the shocks and springs of the various years to see what has changed. But nonetheless, I'd like a OEM type solution before going down the coilover route, ie. change out the 2008 shocks for the 2011 shocks to see if that cures the harsh ride in the earlier model IS-F's...Darshana S...

There are a few more pieces that where changed (besides just the struts)..
The OEM struts alone are in the $1500 Msrp ball park for all 4..
That's already territory for a decent set of Fully Adjustable Coilovers

I'd really like to have someone with access to the parts system do a comparison between '11 and '08 for rear suspension pieces and parts. I'd like to know what they really changed.

From what I understand from the Sacto parts guy the rears actually didnt change much and most of the updates were done to the front. He said its not worth the cost to change on the 08 when you can vastly suprerior aftermarket parts for a cheaper price. He did a quick quote to update my 08's system to the 11's and it was close to 3k. Really not worth it in my books. I did try it out and it is a nicer ride but not worth the cost of admission.
