Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the color code for the stock Gunmetal Grey IS-F Rims? Do Lexus dealers sell can's of spray paint in this color?? If so how much??

I just bought a damaged rim off ebay and am looking to repair the alloy rim to use as my spare.

Thanks in advance and any information you could provide would be much appreciated.

Through trial & error, I have found that Toyota Paint Code 1E3 (Phantom Grey) seems to be pretty close. I have a Dupli-Color brush touch-up tube that I have used to repair a slight rock chip and a couple of slight dings caused by the tire installers.

I tried the 1E3 and it is lighter than stock. It is close, but certainly not stock. Seems through other threads that everyone is guessing or going with "close enough". Frustrating that Toyota won't produce a match on such a pricey wheel!

1E3 is lexus's wheel touch up paint for the wheels.

Isn't there a way to take a paint chip to a paint place and have them duplicate the color, just like home paints?

no but you can go to an auto paint supplier/body shop and use their PPG paint match gun and can get a super close match . i did this with the GTR calipers and wald spoiler to match my USB paint better.

Good to know! I actually just bought my IS-F and I have a few curb marks on the OEM wheels that I need to get touched up. I will look into it

the lexus touch up paint that sewell sells for the wheels is really close

^^^^Not to beat a dead horse here. But the paint that Sewell sells as wheel touchup paint is paint code 1E3. They didn't start selling it as a wheel touchup paint until the code was discovered on this web site. They monitor the CL site.

Note, I don't find the paint light as mentioned above. It's spot on for me.

Same here. Using 1E3 touch up from the dealer matched up very well. I know that body paint tends to lighten over the years from UV exposure. Maybe the wheel paint as well?
