Old thread i know but ive been considering getting a Takeda intake and like that it uses part of the OEM box. Ive seen references to 2 different ones but cant seem to find what the differences (if any) are. All descriptions appear to be a cut/paste job so was hoping someone here could advise.
Ive seen these 2 Takeda setups for the older ISF:
1. Described as a pro dry
2. Stage 2 PDS
When i click on either its the exact same description. I thought one might be a oiled setup but the description said both filters are oiled.
Price is similar etc.
Can someone advise what is the difference besides the colour of the filter
^^^^I think my last post on the previous page should help you. The one on the left is dry, the one on the right is oiled. And, as I described, the oiled version has an inverted top with filtering media, vs the flat, non filtered, top on the dry filter.
I wish someone could dyno-test the new filter design.
Wondering if it would make difference as the original design was received with mixed reviews as far as gains.

Cheers, appreciate the clarification. Must of missed your last post somehow. Most of the Ebay links or other links to those selling both have the same description which threw me off.
Looks like Oiled is the way to go ensuring its not over oiled due to the MAF etc.
My old WRX used to go through several airflow sensors due to this and other reasons and it was a well known documented issue with the GC8 WRX's but dont think such issues exist with the ISF's :-)
