Regarding the feeling, IMHO when I went from 19X9/19X10 AME Circlar Spec R's with Falken 452's to Volk TE37 18X9.5/18X10.5 with Dunlop Star Spec Z1's, the difference was night and day. Felt like about a 20-30 HP difference. Seriously. Now the AME's weren't that heavy, but the VOLK TE's were just that light (plus smaller diameter). The 18X10.5 were in the 17 lb range IIRC. (This was on a 350Z btw)

Hate to dig up an old thread, but I'm looking for some light yet affordable wheels for my recently-acquired IS-F in Ultrasonic Blue Mica. I keep coming back to this wheel despite it being discontinued... it's gorgeous, light, a great match for the UBM color, seemingly durable, and yet affordable! Any other good/affordable suggestions that are still in production?

I plan to track the car, so the wider rubber that's possible with a 9/10" setup is certainly appealing. Going 255/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear gives an inch more contact patch at each corner with negligible weight gain from the actual rubber.

Also, for those of you who are still running this wheel, any recommendations for repairing curb rash if I find some used? I found a product by a UK company called "E-Tech" that someone on another forum said is a good color match for the gunmetal version, but I can't find a US distributor.

Wow, it's been a while since I first started this thread. I'm still very much enjoying my Weds and they are a bit scratched up from the years. I've found the Nissan Pewter is almost a perfect color match to repair any scratches. In regards to the tires...you can run a 275 and 255 without any fender mods on stock ride height, but if you go lower, you will need to at least trim the rear fender lip. If you can find a set of these wheels, I would definitely say they are some of the best wheels out there for the F and mine have served me well for the past couple of years without any issues.

I have these wheels too and love them, they go great with SGM paint and would probably also look awesome on USB. It's unfortunate that they didn't really catch on in the ISF community until they were about to be discontinued. I bet if Weds brought them back now they'd sell a ton of them!

This is by far my favorite wheel design and finish for our cars! Very classy, yet aggressive in appearance! I searched for years looking for my USB ISF and these wheels compliment the color perfectly!
