Default Coilover Install $$$$

Hey guys I just bought an IS-F a month ago and I have a set of IS-F specific KW V3's I want to have installled.

I usually do stuff like this on my own but I don't have the time or access to a lift anymore so I wanted to get an idea of what some of you have paid. I know prices will differ by region but I'd like an idea of what I can expect. If anyone has a recommendation in the So Cal area for a good installer I'd really appreciate it.

unless the system is significantly different (which i doubt), in socal you probably expect around 150 to 200 for install

most of the socal guys (including me) go to tommy @ music box, 626-823-2853

just tell him henry with the black gs refers you, tons of us go there

welcome to clublexus and congrats on your new car!

Once you get them installed, can you provide some feedback as to the ride quality? I am interested in these coilovers as well.

I am hoping they will eliminate the "bounce" from the ride.

I'll be happy to do that.

Based on my past experiences with KW products I think it will improve the ride but we'll see after they're installed.

what feed back do you need? i was the first in the US to get this set and they are awesome. as for install they are tricky not like any other set up. they require triming of the top hat to fit the spring on them. but you will love them what is your goal with them. track or DD.. they are awesome.

they take more time. they need to take apart the old ones and trim the upper hat with a die grinder.

The F is for weekends...not for the track. I just want to eliminate the bounce, I don't mind a firm ride, but want to eliminate the bounce or harshness on dips. There's a road, I drive everyday here in northern CA, highway 237 west, which connects 880 to 101, and this road has provided me and my wife some laughs as we "gallop" across some expansion joints in the F. Some say it's the rebound on the IS F , but I am no suspension expert.

Here's the feedback I am hoping to get from the OP and anyone else for the KW v3. Given the adjustability, would you say that the KW v3's improve the ride for daily drivability over the stock suspension? Is it safe to say since you're using the stock top hat, there's no noise from the coilovers and I am also hoping to get a more than 25,000 miles between rebuilds since I don't track the car. Don't get me wrong, despite the ride, I love my F!

chrisburke, is this your set up for your KW V3's for your IS-F? If so how is this set like for ride quality, sportiness, and performance?

IF you don't mind me asking what did you pay for your V3's?

The word from others that the KW's are great and many of the board members who have them can attest to that.

Thanks in advance

I solved that exact same problem with JIC FLT TAR (installed 9 mo ago) and I am happy with them. Also in the bay area and roads here are terrible. Good luck.
