I'd love to do some headlights mods, but I'm just too scared to put them in the oven and open them up. Especially since I just have brand new headlights installed on my '11 due to bubbling. Wish they would've let me keep the old headlights to tinker with, but they wouldn't.

Does anyone have a diagram with the correct area to insert the screwdriver to adjust the headlights up/down? My driver's side headlight is higher than my passenger, I can see this in people's rear bumpers.

Its pretty obvious where the headlight adjuster is.. its right behind each headlight near the low beams behind the side engine bay covers.

IMO I'd rather use a 8mm ratchet to adjust it.. its easier.

^But doesn't that require going under the car, whereas adjusting with screwdriver would just require removing engine covers

I'm not talking about going under the car. I'm talking about the adjusters on the headlight itself.. its under the front/side engine cover.. you have to remove the side covers for you to see it.. then instead of using a screwdriver I use a 8mm socket thats also able to adjust the **** to your headlights

I've had to correct my auto-leveling sensor on my car ever since installing sway bars (they were installed upside down).

But going through this thread has no one noticed that the auto-leveling sensor in the below pic is attached to the sway bars?!?!?

s4play if you're still having problems with your headlights then I'm sure it's because it's installed completely wrong. The sensor is supposed to be installed here ----> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/3063720-post54.html Just behind the rear drivers side control arm (or whatever you call it)

I just dropped the front of my 2012 with Swift Springs and my headlights are pointed too low...

I even adjusted the rear bolt all the way down and it's still pointed low

^ that's odd, I fixed my lights a few days back because the sensor arm was pointing down.

As soon as I changed that and adjusted the leveling sensor to the middle position (engraved on the metal) my lights came back down to it's correct level. But your sensor arm seems to be pointing in the right direction

My issue was that the lights were pointing up and not down (this was due to incorrect re-installation of the sensor after sway bars were installed).

mine is on OEM suspensions so I'm not sure what the other guys on here do when they lower their car but if the sensor doesn't correct your light then you will probably have to adjust them from the headlamp assembly.

BTW you did switch on your engine for the lights to auto-level right? or were you doing it with just the battery on?

I'm pretty low also, my rear sensor was at the middle position my headligjts were aiming too low. Now it is all the way down (lol) perfect.

I am afraid to manually adjust my headlamps, has anyone gone to the dealership for the head lights pointing too low?

I know there are 2 cogs to adjust but I'm not sure which one to adjust. these are the ones that are the easiest to get access as they are right there under the engine cover right next to the lamp covers.

This should be an easy adjustment but it's really giving me a lot of headaches. I swear my s2000 and nsx headlight is double the intensity!

Please help!

You can check bulb light output with a cheap photo light meter that measures lumens. Output of light at headlight versus thrown light is affected by angle of bulb seat and reflector / projector housing.
