If its on a circuit board, all they have to do is de-solder the led light and then re-solder the new led onto the circuit board. they use to do that on the old Nokia cellphone. thats how they got all the rainbow colors on the keypad.

I recall someone doing this on a IS250 they took apart the whole dash and changed all the green leds to blue, you may want to do a search in the ISx50 forum, I believe he did a DIY on it...

I remember when Cathafer told me she wanted to do this mod I couldn't understand why she would want to tear apart the dash on a brand new car. When I saw the finish product I understood why, her car is simply sick. Her F is still one of the most modded F's to date, just take a look at l-tuned parts site and you'll see cathafers car in most of the F products offered.

There have been a couple of DIY threads in the 2IS forum, just not the IS-F forum.

It's a lot of work. The LEDs are very tiny, and require very good soldering skills with higher end tools. You're not going to get this done with your Weller 140W soldering gun for sure. Here's a pic to give you an idea. It's the front panel of the Levinson Audio system. The caliper is measuring one of the LEDs.

awww you guys miss me? How nice The blue interior lightsing definitely is not a DIY the guy that does it is based in southern California and luckily he was visitin NY and did the full interior for me while he was here. Some of the LEDs he makes himself and solders them in. It cost about $600 and as far as I know he's the only one who does this type of thing on the 2is/F. It took him about 8 hours and 2 trips to NY

Thats why I said as far as I know I'm in Ny so over here there's no one who does it. I just lucked out that the one guy I knew of travels to ny a lot
