Default My recent car accident :(

hey all
during last week, i went to vegas to enjoy my last minute vacation...
it was all good untill when i stopped for little break at barstow gas station.
as soon as i pulled in and parked my car, 94 astrovan hit me on the rear right side of my car ends up scrathin my door and fender and rims...
damage wasnt too bad...
she had like 7 kids in the van so i let her off easy after i got the info.
since it was the weekend i'm taking my car to the bodyshop tomm to check out how long it might take..
sad for me there are possiblity to not to make it to Pursuit.

Enjoy

Ouch.. thats no excuse for her buddy but props for keeping your composure. Yeah I guess let the shop hande it. I suggest taking it at the dealer. There is no better work than the dealer plus they guarantee and will warranty the work. Make sure they fix the wheel lip as well.

Good luck.

it was very kind of you not to flip out. granted it was an expensive car, but great way to set an example for the kids in the event they're in that situation when they're older. as for the damage...seems minimal in terms of size, but probably gonna be expensive with the paint alone. dealer's jobs are always under warranty and guaranteed. the wheel itself looks a little disfigured, so have them look at that as well. as for the Pursuit, there will be plenty of cars there. just bring urself. hopefully ill get to meet u and the other F drivers there, as well as the many lexus drivers in attendance.

I agree... Dealerships are a the best place to get them fixed. Its more $$$, but you don't want to be sorry later down the road...

Goodluck!!

Did they repair the quarter panel or replaced it? Damn that's expensive for what seems like minor damage.

You had one rim replaced though? Can you take pictures of the fixed area? Are you happy with color matching, etc? Thx.

the other party's insurance paid for all... I really wanted them to replace the quarterpanel but not enough damage on the part to be replaced so it was repaired...

The bodyshop is authorized Lexus Body Shop and i know the owner so i doubt there will be problem with the paint job. If there is any problem they will get it fixed.

the price of the repair might be expensive from what it looks but the wheels and tires are pretty expensive...
they are also taking care of small scratches like rockchips while they are sparying..so it should be all good...
i'll take some pictures when i get the car back... it should be either this friday or following monday...
