^^ Good to hear you got it done...

Just make sure the new wire and/or tap doesn't touch or interfere with the internal side of the belts...

If it does, use a mini zip tie to ensure the new wire follows the oem wire conduit and is basically out of the way from moving parts.

Also, make sure the tap is in a place where it won't rattle against something

thanks joe
nothing in the way
but
ive narrowed it down, heres a pic
maybe the noise was always there????
it only happens when the car is on or with two start button presses
if u just push it once the sound will not happen

right after i click in the seatbelt
theres a click in the pillar
I unplug the connector i circled in the pic and it stops

is there a click after u insert ur seatbelt in the pillar?
can someone check for me next time they go for a drive and let me know

cause it may just be a normal thing

Thanks for the detailed instructions/photos. I installed my white sills this past weekend - they look great. I was intimidated at first, but looking back now it really was an easy install. The hardest part was finding someone who carried those low-profile fuses (yes, I blew a 20A fuse on the driver's side ). After visiting 4 Autozones I finally found them.

Hey sorry I didn't see this question until the recent bump... But I have no idea what's clicking there. I didn't even touch that area except to just run a wire through it. And mine doesn't seem to click as far as I can hear.

From your picture my best guess is that it's a plug for an electronic seatbelt pretensioner, and it's clicking while it's working. That might explain why it only happens after 2 start button presses.

Another quick question on these. Is it the bulb you get that makes it light up blue vs white or is the sill logo lens a different color. I prefer blue and would like to make sure I order the right items. Thanks.

Different parts with different part numbers between the blue and white. The way the words light up is different as well. Make sure you order the right ones. I believe when I got them the blue ones were actually considerably cheaper than the white.

Thanks for the DIY write up. I just installed mine a little over an hour ago and your write up definitely made it simple.
