on other lexus, yes. but if they are going to make the is-f for the SPORT segment, then i think they could have done a bit more on this area

Those are some sexxxy steering wheels that looks functional as well.

For a long time Toyota had some of THE best steering wheels on the market, IMHO, the simple classic "T" shaped designs. The TRD wheel for example. Now all they have to do to stay ahead of the competition is offer a thicker rim and provide the 'heated' option ala BWM & MB.

I think the LF-A will be the closest to a sporty classic functional wheel once again from Toyota, but look what car it's on!?

I agree 100%. This is not your Daddy's Lexus! Make it go POW!!! Excitement!!

I would love a thicker wheel for the track!

I agree. I think it all depends on the size of your hands, just like the wrap on a tennis racket. The F one actually feels perfect for me. The 335i one was a little too thick.

Aright Aright, so enough talking and REALIZING that our steering wheel is too small. What company is going to step up and make something happen???

I am here at your disposal. Let me know if anyone want's to start a Design on my wheel and I'll make it happen. Just by interest alone in this thread there are probably 5 people who are already in as well.

I find the steering wheel perfect for me.

But I'm just used to the Lexus desgin..

Since 2000... I drove a 2001 IS300 for 7 years
Then 2007 ... I drove a 2008 IS350 for 1.5 years
and
now the 2008 IS-F

for some reason, when i tested both the m3 and the is f, i found it more form fitting for my entire palm to wrap around a smaller rim steering wheel. the m3's was just way too big, probably requiring more hand power to turn the steering wheel itself. my mom's 3 series is beyond cumbersome to simply turn, where as the is f's wheel is simple, light, and easy to maneuver with. but this is just my opinion. some may prefer bigger steering wheels or even a different look. i'll admit the lexus wheel is kinda plain, but it does the job very well, and in the end that to me is much more important than what it looks like.

+1. The F's wheel felt perfect with cycling gloves at the track. The weekend was too hot for full fingered gloves. Next time I'll be wearing my AF issued flight gloves - Nomex and deerskin - it also feels just about perfect.
