Default OEM IS-F wheels: Are they Spacer Friendly for those who run H/R Integral spacers?

I know some OEM wheel companies have great thought in the design and have provisions for “Recessed” openings in the back of the wheel so we can use H/R Integral spacers that are LESS THAN 25mm by allowing the protruding studs to go into the recessed holes.

If you have no clue what I’m talking about then you probably have not done this before so I’m asking IS-F owners who have spacers, do you remember if there are recessed cutouts behind the OEM wheels? Or anyone have a picture of the backside of the OEM IS-F wheel?

I’m trying to buy some H/R Integral spacers around 15mm so that means the OEM studs will protrude past the spacer. I prefer NOT to change out the studs for longer studs which is why I’m asking…

Look at my example picture below. Notice the wheel on the left has the holes and the ones on the right do not!

In this picture the spacer is 25mm so the oem studs are covered by the spacer due to the 25mm thickness but I don’t think a 25mm spacer would fit on the OEM IS-F rims?

I for one would not put spacers on a performance car. It is just the weakest link theory. But good luck to what you decide.

1" is roughly 25mm spacers, what brand did you go with? Any pictures of the setup?

thanks!

I'd also like to see some pics, and your input on rub issues.

Anyone put them on the front too?

I put 15mm all around with eibach springs. No rubbing issues. I do put the ones changing the bolts and they come in the kit. This is how the offset has to come from factory. By the way mines are H&R

Can anyone answer my question on whether the OEM IS-F wheels have the recessed holes? Or anyone have a picture of the back of an IS-F rim?

thanks!

Studied the IS-F OEM BBS wheels today so I can answer my own question now

The stock IS-F wheels DO HAVE THE RECESSED HOLES so you can run 15mm or 20mm Integral spacers. The nuts that protrude will clear the OEM wheels with the recessed holes! YAYYY
