Default radar detector wiring

Hello all, I just received my 2008 IS-F today. USB/black. I was wondering if any of you guys are hard wiring your radar detector and how you are doing it? I was hoping to use INVISICORD with my Escort 9500ix but the plug is not exposed in the back of the rear view mirror like most cars. Any help would be great appreciated.

I did mine through the power for the rearview mirror. Here is a thread with pics of how to do the install (scroll down to the post by Tuxlex):

The only thing I did differently was to unplug the mirror and do the soldering at my workbench.

I used "Stealth Cord" and have a small write up here, it is very easy...

I did this exact same setup for my 9500xi. It was really easy to do and didn't take longer then 10 minutes. I might still have an extra "Stealth Cord" they sent me by accident. I can look for it if you'd like

You don't need to order any special "stealth cords" if you have an old bit of phone cable and can work wire strippers.
