Disaster!!! After a frustrating night at Palm Beach International Racetrack I found out that my MAS sensor was dirty because of the K&N filter that I used for a couple of months. Another waste of money and time going all the way up to this track, last time I didn't bring a helmet and could only have one pass!!!
Well, let's see if I can remember the numbers: last time that I went to PBIR (I was stock) I managed a 12.80@112. Getting into details my 1/8 time was around 8.4@86MPH. I've been going to the local 1/8 track pretty often, before and after the tune. Before the tune my best time was about 8.6@85MPH, you can see right there that even though I've done multiple passes at the local track, my best 1/8 time was at PBIR with one pass only, the local track sucks! After the tune my best time (at the local track) was 8.4@88MPH, it was a couple of weeks after the MHP tune. I improved 0.2s and 3MPH in the 1/8 mile with the tune. Two weeks ago when I went to PBIR I was shooting for low-to-mid 12s, but instead my best time of the night was 13.2@109MPH! It was SOOOOOOO frustrating to drive back home 1.5 hours thinking about that awfull time!!!
It was my mistake, when I switched back to the stock air filter (from the K&N) I didn't clean the MAS sensor, now I can not only see the time difference, but I can feel the lack of power on the higher RPMs. I'm sure that if I dyno my car now I'll be lower than when I dynoed it stock. I'll clean the whole intake this weekend, but I don't think I'll be going to PBIR anytime soon.
MRxSLAYx, I dynoed my car close to my office in Davie, around I-595 and Davie Rd.

Yesterday was my second night at the track. My R/T times have been consistently poor, need to work on that... I also can't seem to break into the 12's.
I did three runs. This was my third, and best run for the night before the track got *&#f'ed up and closed.

I agree....Maryland is known for times quicker and faster than any other track in the U.S. Those of us in other parts of the country will never have that sort of luck on any other track...

Yeah, those times are very similar to mine. I finally cleaned up my MAS sensor (from using the K&N air filter) and the car is back to normal now, it feels much stronger. I'll need new tires soon, so I'll go back to the track after I get them, right now I keep spining the tires all the way into mid 2nd gear. What tires should I get? The new Nitto Invo?
