Is the IS-F rear seat interchangeable with IS350?

Default Is the IS-F rear seat interchangeable with IS350?

Just wondering if anyone has even attempted this or if it's possible.

Two things that bother me about the IS-F are:

1) Only seats 2 in the rear
2) No fold down rear seats

I'm just wondering if the rear seat section is the same as the IS350 so if I am willing to give up the bucket seats and plastic console, can I simply swap in a 3 seater cushion?

Theoretically the interior of both cars should be the same so besides the seat belt for the middle, everything else should be same? I'll check with dealer parts to confirm but just wanted to ask on here.

sorry for my rambling

Same car in back, should be able to do this with just the bottom cushion part. Your passengers will be pretty chummy though

The lack of a middle seat belt will be an issue.

Thanks if the back seat will fit, that's all I need to hear. Rarely do any of my rear seat people wear seat belts....just want to have that extra seat there in a sqeeze

I wonder where I can buy a back seat cushion....hmmm Probably best place is a Lexus salvage yard - is there such a place online perhaps?

www.car-part.com is a nationwide source. The leather wont match the factory F seats as the F seats are perforated with a blue dye in the center layer.

you guys are awesome for the wealth of info!

This will be great info to tell the lady since that was one of her concerns as well. I don't mind the leather not matching since it's not that noticeable.

Good thing is the OEM IS-F rear leather seats will be in good shape down the road. Baby seats wreck havoc on the leather!

I can live without the fold down seats....

I see you have an M3... you could get the new M3 Sedan, 3 across bench and fold down capabilities I believe.

thanks, I just recently sold my e46 m3 and do NOT want another m3 (looking for something different/bigger). I would pick up a used e60 m5 if I did go BMW again but I really like the Lexus marque and love how the IS-F drives.

I haven't decided which car yet so just going to shop a while.

JavyLSU: Thanks for the offer - if I do get the car and in socal, I'd love to swap seats to test fitment

Rick - I'm actually gonna be in NorCal early next month for WekFest. Send me a PM with your info and I can let you know the details of when I'll be up there.

Can andbody confirm if this is possible? Switch the rear seats and center seat belt from an IS250/350 to allow for 3 seats in the rear of an ISF? Are all the mounting holes there for the 3rd seat belt and possible relocation of the other 2 seatbelts if not the same mounting point between models?

Is there any truth to the hump being bigger/higher in the ISF or did they put 2 buckets only to be more sporty?

I think so, the above post is Javy he used to had an IS350 but all his interior seats were ISF including the seats too , you might have to do a little modify but its fit

That's an interesting idea swapping seats, but think it will still be super squished. We just sold the ISF because of the rear seats. The infant car seats don't fit unless your front seats are all the way forward, which if you are tall is an issue. We are both 5'5 and had issues with being comfortable up front. But, hey worth a shot!!
