WAY too much time on my hands this week...(Eyelid DIY inside)
Kinda taking advantage of the free time I've had, and devoting some hours to the car. Now I'm going to start off by saying, this was one of those mod's that is simple and does a lot (aesthetically.) Not sure if you guy's necessarily like this or don't...and to be perfectly honest I haven't made my mind up yet either...
Anyway incase there are those out there who decide to do this, I came up with a step by step DIY for ya. Enjoy!
You will need:
1. Spray bottle W/ Alcohol & Water Mixture.
2. Microfiber Towel.
3. Squeegee, or in my case GNC card.
4. Vinyl Eyelids.
Start off by spraying down your headlights with the mixture in your spray bottle to insure you have a clean surface to work with. This will remove all grime & oil even after car washes.
Wipe clean...
Once you have you're clean headlight, peel the vinyl off and spray it down with the alcohol/water mixture you have in the bottle. When the vinyl is wet, also spray the headlight and your finger tips in order to be able to have some movement with the vinyl. Position it into place the best you can ensuring there are no air bubbles or wrinkled pieces in the process.
Now when you have you're eyelid in the place it looks right, you take out your squeegee(in my case GNC card) and CAREFULLY run it down the newly applied vinyl to get all the excess solution out from under it. This will also make the drying process faster, and allow for you're eyelids to hold better.
Your last step is to again CAREFULLY because the vinyl is not completely dry, wipe down the headlight and newly applied eyelid.
Here's the final result!
Again not sure if I going to leave them, but for now I think they look pretty dang kool!

Like I said, I'm not sure I totally like them either. Who knows maybe in a week or so I'll change my mind. It was something different, cheap, and just wanted to give a quick try.
OBVIOUSLY you didn't check out my other thread!!!
I swapped the parking light to a yellow bulb. No LED here baby.

i like eyelids on the IS... the ones that are on your car i think are a bit too round... when i made these up i wanted something that would look "sharp" lining up with our hood... the ones you bought from ebay looks really round...
i could fix these for you... go get the original vinyl you bought that had a little pearl in them last time... i'll re-do them at ross docks
in comparison for everyone
stupid ebay guys... can't even copy it right
