Opinions on carbon trunk lid
So there are a handful of options on carbon fiber trunk lids, I'm planning painting it and getting the sard lsr wing in the future.
The options are:
Seibon (oem type)
Vis (oem type)
Aero function 1 piece type (based off what looks like ventross)
Ventross
Prices vary on each manufacture, no weight descriptions on any either..
I know joshlee has a ventross type, maybe some input from you on that?

The ones you listed are all available, and there is also the Wald carbon fiber version.
I have the Aero Function trunk and I'm honestly not too happy with it, the fitment is not that great and a lot of work is needed to make it look good. So 100% authentic all the way or don't go for it, just my .002 cents. But!! The trunk looks great and people love it.

I recall reading some fitment issues for the VIS trunk, but that for some of the GS owners. The Seibon, at least when I test fitted it, seemed to have a larger gap all around. While it looked fine, I was more concerned about how the water would flow during my detail sessions. Josh's AF1 looks spot on, and it was only when he pointed out the area where it wasn't completely in line with the rest of the trunk, that I noticed. Other than that, it's a different look altogether- almost a trunk and spoiler uniquely combined.
No matter which one you go with, I think you have the right idea to have it all carbon looking, especially if you're planning to add the SARD wing. An all out CF look would look nice in the rear shots.
Best of luck!

There was one in preproduction that Mk4Sup_isF posted a thread about, but I guess the thread was too close to unsponsored vendor status because it disappeared. It was similar to ventross with a bit more aggressive spoiler. I can't remember if carbon was an option though.

I tried the Seibon trunk and the fitment was not very good. I had gaps on the right side of the trunk.
I believe you guys are talking about this trunk lid:

I saw the post before it got deleted but I no nothing about this product or if anyone ordered it. Looks good though.

Nice, I remember the initial post on the Outcast Garage trunk and I was very interested and then poof, the thread was gone. I thought I had imagined the whole thing 😂. Glad to hear that it is still coming and waiting to see one mounted. I love that duckbill!

I have had several aftermarket trunks over the years on several different platforms one thing they all had in common is they never fit like OEM. I came from a G35 where dozens of aftermarket trunks where availible and 100s of guys had aftermarket trunks most agreed even the best ones still didn't fit perfect. But if you're getting one get it sooner than later as the more use the molds get the worse the trunks fit.
I am very familiar with Outcast garage and they do make some nice stuff I was talking with Chris about making aftermarket front bumpers for the ISF.
