Plating the wheel would not make any difference in performance. If you were to weigh the wheel after plating, I would bet there would not be any significant weight gain. I think black chrome would look interesting.

Regarding the weight...usually +/- 1 lb. vs. the stock painted/powdercoated finish. These are our wheels for sale.

Whew!! Just barley made the cut. I'm 44 and I like chrome. Since I'm officially in Mid Life Crisis I'm allowed.

I just bought chrome GS450h wheels from LA Wheel. I think they look pretty damn good but I'm smart enough not to post pictures and ask for comments cause I know how you young'ens feel about chrome.
