Are you sure your car comes with ML? If its the normal audio system then you can't view DVD

If ML stands for mark levinson, then yes, that's what I have in my car. Gonna try the parking break thing right now!

The override sounds interesting, but I don't have too many people that would sit on the back (so they can see the movie too well anyway) and the person sitting in the front would probably rather listen to me talk :-P

I can barely drive this car, I should probably keep my eyes on the road and not watch DVDs

Yes, it's dangerous and I totally believe it's distracting. But I use my override to LISTEN to live concert DVDs all the time. They sound fantastic and you can listen to a 2+ hour show and still skip tracks so I absolutely love it. Just being able to hit "Play" while moving is a total blessing.

Thanks for this thread! I forgot the ML system was capable of playing DVDs, so I went downstairs and popped in a DVD to test it. When the DVD started playing without having my parking brakes engaged, I got curious and started driving... Turns out the previous owner already overrode the navigation. Score!

It's a little sad that I've had the ISF for 2 years and am only now realizing that I had this feature the entire time.
