Tint is getting applied as I type. I talked to the installer, the tint is not huper optik but instead from a company called Matico(?). My installer knew all about huper optik and mentioned that it is mainly for flat-glass installs (home windows, etc.) and he didn't know if it was pliable enough for compound-curve installs like rear windshields.

I'll post lots of pics when finished.

Paid a bit north of $300...no windshield. 20% back 3 windows, 30% front two. Tint by Wincos, made by Lintec, distributed by Madico. Installer tried to get huper optik but they only distribute to a few folks in OC. Here's a teaser:

I didn't take video yet, but snapped a few quick shots of the ipod hookup and one screen. I'll take more shots later. Sorry for the shallow DOF on the last one!

Indeed it does. It also stops/starts from where you left off when you change sources or turn off the car. Haven't made a hands-free call yet, tho.

I haven't looked into it too much. Where are they located? How much was it to do your car? Do you have any closeup/macro pics of it installed on yours? This car will be making many, many trips up I-40 to the river so i think some sort of protection is warranted.

Can you take a few screen shots of the Nav display with the ipod playing? Does it show the song title, artist, etc? If so, how much was it, and where does the ipod connector end up?

I just put a new stereo in my FJ Cruiser with a 250GB ipod and just love it now. Would be nice to have that in the IS-F.

Thanks,
Desi
