Default Finish Options

I'm in the process of purchasing my IS F and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is worth getting any of these options (Note: I plan on keeping the car and not leasing). I don't know if these options are offer at other Lexus dealerships or if there is something similar. I saw the videos for each application and they have a package deal ($2500) to do all of them or a la carte, but I'm just wondering long-term how it measures up. I saw an LS460 that had the package and it looks awesome, but again, how about long term.

* 3M PPF (Platinum package) - This is the 3M clear shielding, including side mirrors and around the windshield, and door edges (Pretty much a no brainer)

* Signature Finish Ultimate Plus - Teflon like finish on the paint

* Diamon-Fusion - Similar to Rain-X, but better so I'm told

* Dent Zone (4yrs) - Paintless dent repair

Thanks for any feedback.

Clear Bra and Diamond Fusion. We used to apply the DF to many Volvo cars a few years back when I worked for them. It does what they promise. Great product. However it will be overpriced at dealerships. Try to find an authorized shop to do it for you at a much lower price if you so choose to get it. Or of course you can go the regular route and just use Rain-X.

I would just take the clear bra, the others are either way overpriced at the dealer or snake oil . . .

Thanks for the feedback.

I kind of figure most of the options I could get elsewhere at a cheaper pricing, but the 3M is pretty much a must have since they can do it right there once the car arrives so the minute I drive it off the lot I have my condom on.

I agree 100%.

Also, make sure your headlights and foglights will be protected as well.

The 3M and would consider the Dent Zone for 4yrs. It may pay for itself during that time frame but then again you might not need to use once... That's a gamble but you can feel comfortable parking any where on the lot and know if you do get a door ding it'll be free to fix...
