My dealership contacted me yesterday because I am first on the list to buy one at a so-cal dealer.

He told me that the first batch of IS-F's are set to arrive in the Los Angeles port on January 30th, and to go on sale very soon after that.

And the Redrock interior rumor a while back is the real deal. The IS-F my dealership is set to receive is obsidian black on the exterior with the Redrock interior.

My salesman described it as a chocolate brown.

very interesting! i hope they have a few other surprises still in-store for us (option-wise). i could live w/ probably any interior color.. it's mainly the exterior color that i'm concerned alittle more with.

Interesting interior color, that interior could match well with a black IS-F, but probably not with most other exterior colors ...

Why did Lexus keep this option so quiet? I was definitely leaning towards the white two-tone interior, but if this is available I'd go for Red Rock for sure.

What about the trim pieces though? I don't see the aluminized CF contrasting well with the redrock...maybe ordinary black CF?

You're right, ordinary black CF would gel much better. BMW has Terra leather available with aluminum trim and it clashes terribly imo.

I was very surprised too when my dealer told me about the color scheme of the IS-F coming in. I wonder why lexus held back the details of the RedRock.

Im thinking about holding out until the next shipment of IS-F's come in so I can get one in Ultrasonic Blue. I dont know how long it will be until the next shipment?

Because according to my source, in the initial production run, there were very few blue IS F's produced.
