No, no, and nO. The IS350 is a perfect car for me.. for now at least! So I guess I'll wait until the IS500 actually comes out before any decisions are made. (Most likely no cuz of the price tag)

I do not NEED is500.
For me, who is not speed demon and do not care if someone else want to race my IS, i will NOT trade for IS500. Heck, the reason why I buy IS250 is because it handles pretty good on those back curvy roads, have awd for winter commmute, have the "LEXUS" marquee on the grill, the nav sophistication and in-cabin comfort. With gas price going north of $3.50 next summer and rumors say it will be close to $5, cars like Toyota Yaris with <120 HP is flying out of the showroom as fast as Paris Hilton new song album .
I do WANT IS500 .
Need Vs Want........

After waiting 4 months, and going through the dealings, I wouldn't want to do it again for some time. I love the idea of an IS500, and hope they release it, but I wouldn't buy one (especially if it doesn't have 4 doors). As someone said earlier, I rarely beat on this car as-is, while there will always be something faster out there.

Its sounds cool, but as a daily driver my IS350 is more than sufficient. I dont need a v8 400+Hp to get to work. If I had extra cash, Id rather by a used civic or something as a daily driver and keep the miles off my IS350.

Hell no, Spending 20k+ more for what? more hp? Most ppl won't even be able to tell the difference between the IS350 and the IS500.. Not
to mention that, I'd cringe of the thought of looking at the interior clock on the (60k+) IS500 and thinking of my mother,s 1996 Corolla
If I'm in the market for a 400hp sportscar next year it will most likely be the new M3

I still don't understand this mentality.
Why race on public roads? I understand the need to pick up speed to pass a slow truck/van/Prius, but to bolt after a green light to show a Civic that they suck (which you don't need to race to prove that fact), I just find it not only nonfunctional, but dangerous.
Respect the road, and no one will race you to prove you deserve respect back.

I'd want one, if my wish list gets fullfilled :
1- Trade in for my IS350 to be around $30K
2- IPod interface and/or built it hard drive.
3- HID headlights standard
4- Price not to exceed $65K
5- Comes in two non-IS colors at most
6- A beautiful girl in the passenger seat (also standard) as my fiancee will dump me after she learns that I want another car that is over $60K!

I agree with most of your criteria.
