Just my call of course - but I think if they do release this it'll be a 5L V8 @ around or just over 400hp. Why do I think this - well the M3 is supposed to be ~400hp, the RS4 is 420hp, and if Infiniti releases a V8 version of their new coupe it'll almost definitelty be ~5L @ ~400hp. Of course the CLS500 is 5L too, but only 300hp.

Just what I'm thinkin'. I'd definitely love to see Lexus get into that segement of the market.

Hey guy's I picked up a copy of Road&Track yesterday and in it, they had an article about a IS 500 coupe with about 400hp, and costing between 50 and 60K and slated to be release later this year! Has anyone else read the article??

Later this year?? Nah not that soon. There is a possiblity that we will see a V8 IS, but no hard facts just yet.

Yes, exactly ,a detune version of the new Supra's engine. I was trying to post the link but the car is not on their website. It's under sneak preview, and man I love the coupe styling, even the stock wheels look pretty nice. I hope the price is much lower than their estimates, or offer a V-6 version! If so, I'll be signing on the dotted line!

not necessarily. rumor is they will have another larger displacement engine for more power (derived from the next supra?) that's 5L producing 400+ hp. the 460 engine has "only" 380hp

I'll have to actually see a press release of some sort on the Supra before I start believing a new one will come out.
Same for LF-A and IS500.
