Default Maintenance while doing upgrades

On the verge of pulling the trigger on ordering and or installing
UEL Headers/ceramic w some 90degree extenders for downstream 02
x-force Varex exhuast
RR pulley combo set
Oil change (best I've read is that Mobile 1 doesn't agree with our cars) any suggestions on preference here is appreciated (I assume stock filter replacement).
RR Road and Track USRS along with
RR R2 road and track coilovers

08 with 38k mileage stock everything that I know of or looked at

Any you might as well do this or that while your at it
Like water pump/02 sensors/spark plugs/ or new belt for pulley etc
Any feedback with anyone with higher mileage and or knowledge of whats coming up or should be looked at would be great.

I don't want to get 3/4 the way through it and/or finished and be like
I guess I should of replaced this along the way or I wish I did whatever while doing x or y

At that low mileage, there's not a lot to worry about although the O2 sensors might be difficult to remove without damaging them. Depends on where the car has lived most of its life. If it came from the Rust Belt, I'd buy O2 sensors (all four of them) just to be sure I won't be waiting around for parts because the originals are corroded in place.

Yea @ 38k your engine is basically brand new and not even broken in yet, you shouldn't have to worry about much unless what Lobux said above needs attention other than that your golden besides the elected modifications you want to do to your car.

Thanks guys
3 owner car before myself.
Ny for 2/3 of its life...It had to be garage kept and brought out in summer with zero weather
MD/VA for a bit and then NC make up the other 1/3
If a car could have less rust on it at this age it would be still sitting in a showroom (only reason I bought it being where it was from/driven)

Any advice on the oil type/brand?
or 02's to scoop?

I never heard that about mobile 1, I've used exclusively that on my is f for the past 25k miles or so. Haven't had an issue yet, what have others experienced?

Bad wear numbers compared to other brands, and it's not tolerant of fuel dilution which is common with the factory tune. There are much better alternatives. If you have a good sharp tune, Mobil 1 might be just fine, but the analysis results I got and the subsequent discussion is well documented.

I searched when I first read this post and didn't come across any threads about it. Can you point me in the right direction? Has me kind of worried now. I literally just got back my oil analysis from blackstone too and it seemed like everything was good. But I am no expert and this is the first time I have every seen this type of report. I have the factory tune still. Also, what alternatives are people using? My searches before came across others saying they use mobile 1 plus the oem filter, which is what I have been doing since I got the car at around 80k miles. My report is below as well:

Blackstone can't tell you anything substantive about fuel dilution. They don't have the proper equipment to perform anything but a very rudimentary fuel dilution test, and it's a hack at best. Your iron wear numbers aren't bad, they're actually better than mine on my IS F but almost twice what I see on the GS F. I've been running Renewable Lubricants PCMO SHP 5W-30 for a pretty long time now. Lots of 5 gallon pails stacked up in the garage...

The GS F sees 4 ppm iron consistently on a 5k mile oil change. The IS F iron came down a little from a high of 14 ppm to 10 ppm after switching to RLI PCMO. There is a thread in the RC F forum on oil, and you can read the analysis of my Blackstone reports there:

The thread is pretty large, but the most valuable part is the first 5 pages.

Ahh ok, I will check it out. Thank you for the info. Where do you pick up the "Renewable Lubricants PCMO SHP 5W-30" from? Also, how much is it? Sucks because I've always picked up the mobile 1 at Costco and it is usually on sale for 35 for 6.

I order it direct from Renewable, or I get it from Amazon. Depends on who has the better price that week.

I have never heard of renewable oil…wow! How does this compare to Amsoil? It seems like Amsoil and Royal Purple are the “best” when you read online. Wondering what your take is having used this renewable oil.
