My car might be F'ed
 

And not in the good F-sport way.

My brother borrowed my car and tried to lower the top when the trunk wasn't ready.

Now I cannot open the trunk, the roof will not reseat closed, and the dash screams at me the whole time I drive.

Is it salvageable, or will I need to open the top up and then take it to the dealer?

What exactly did he do to it? Was there something in the trunk that was obstructing the roof even with the shade pulled out and locked in place?

No response huh?

Perhaps with more info we could point you in the right direction, otherwise you are looking at the whim of the dealer.

You may want to try to open the trunk with the key in the keyhole above the license plate. Move the rubber tab and see if that does anything. Let us know.

Also, make sure nothing (like a rag) is stuck in the holes where the curtain tabs go.

i have had this same problem and made a thread about common problems info and fixes for hardtops only, there is a manual key port between the 2 rear seat headrests. if that does not work. disconnect the battery for 10min, hold the trunk open button on the keyfob while you reconnect the battery, this will trick the computer and pop the trunk. if this doesn't work. try again. its the only way to get into the trunk. alot of times the manual key between the headrest wont release the trunk when the computer is locking it out. also check the valet button in the glove box just incase.
