Default Drivers window regulator and motor

** 2010 IS250 Convertible ** (Nav, non-ML)

My driver's side window only goes up about 1/3, then goes back down. When I hold the switch up, I get a clicking and grinding noise.

My car is in Panama, while I am in the USA, so I am not there to take it apart and check it.

To that end, I intend to simply buy a regulator to take back with me, and hope that it's not the motor.

I am getting contradictory info about with regulators fit. Some sources say that there is no difference between the sedan version and the convertible version (Rock Auto), while other sources say that the convertible is a different unit.

Additionally, if it does turn out to be the motor, Rock Auto says that the motor is different starting in 2010 (to 2015), while other sources aren't specific.

It's all very confusing, and any advice would be appreciated.

Doing a bit of research, I was able to find that the part number for the driver side window regulator on the convertible models should be 69802-53020, which is unique to the convertible model.

Not sure about the motors, but the production run of the later ones was from April of 2009 until the convertibles last production run in 2015.
